Earlier on Sunday, we covered a claim from Spanish journalist Hector Gomez, which stated Tottenham Hotspur and Valencia had reached an agreement for Bryan Gil to move on loan.
The deal is from the end of January until June 30th, and will hopefully give the 20-year-old the minutes he hadn’t been getting with Spurs.
Cadena Cope are now backing that line up, and they explain how difficult the negotiation has been for the Spanish side. Initially, Tottenham were asking for a loan fee, so the total cost of the operation would have been around €4m for Valencia, a figure that would have been too high for them.
Days of negotiations have managed to bring a breakthrough over the weekend, and Gil’s desire to move to Valencia, and not consider options such as Nice and Real Sociedad, has been key for the transfer to happen.
Cadena Cope report the Spain international will arrive in Valencia ‘in the next few hours’, and he’ll then go through his medical tests ahead of the loan being officially announced.
