As Giovani Lo Celso’s future seems to lie away from Tottenham Hotspur, reports continue to point out the potential destinations for the midfielder this summer.

In the player’s home country Argentina, it’s highlighted that a new loan to Villarreal is claimed to be the strongest option for now. TyC Sports journalist Gaston Edul writes that the player has the Yellow Submarine as a ‘priority’.

It’s claimed that the Tottenham player is currently in Spain, and there’ll be a ‘final meeting’ in the coming hours. And in case things don’t work out with the La Liga side, then Fiorentina are another option for him.

However, it turns out that La Viola may not be the only alternative in Italy, because according to local reports, Napoli show up as a possible destination as well.

CalcioMercato.it claims there is ‘no club in pole position’, and the Neapolitan club are interested in Lo Celso too, with doors open for a loan with an option to buy for €20m.

With so many options on the table, Tottenham can certainly negotiate for the better offer, even though the player seems to have a preference to continue at Villarreal, where he already spent six months on loan this year.
