Saint-Etienne have already seen Romain Hamouma suffer a serious injury in his side’s 1-1 draw against Strasbourg over the weekend. He is expected to spend time on the sidelines, while another attacker, Robert Beric, is expected to leave the club, according to L’Equipe.
Jean-Louis Gasset’s side have identified several profiles to strengthen their attack for the new season.
One of the players in the list is Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, who still has three years left on his contract at the north London club.
He spent the second half of the last season on loan at Burnley, but he struggled to impress for Sean Dyche’s side.
Saint-Etienne are looking to bring in an attacker on a loan deal with a view to buy and N’Koudou is one of the targets. It should be seen if the French club can reach a deal with Tottenham, should they decide to sign N’Koudou.
A return to France would be a step back for the former Marseille man, who has struggled to find a regular place in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans at Tottenham.
