On Friday, we covered claims from the Spanish press that Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilón’s agent has offered the player to Sevilla.

The left-back wasn’t included in Ange Postecoglou’s plans last season, resulting in Spurs sending him out loan to Manchester United and Brentford.

Tottenham have left the 27-year-old out of their squad for this summer’s pre-season tour to Asia, in the hope he can find a new club.

The La Liga side could be an option for the Spain international if a report from Vamos Mi Sevilla FC is to be believed.

Adrià Pedrosa, Marcos Acuña and Ludwig Augustinsson are currently the three left-backs at the Andalusian club. The Argentine and Augustinsson’s futures remain uncertain, with Acuña and the club are looking to end their association this summer.

Sevilla manager García Pimienta has concerns about the left side of defence, also because Pedrosa hasn’t convinced him. He’s requested for a new left-back and this is where the Tottenham player fits in.

It’s claimed Reguilón is the ‘favourite’ target for Sevilla sporting director Víctor Orta, who has already held talks with the player.

Reguilón was on loan at Sevilla during the 2019/20 season and the report says he ‘would be willing to return’ to the club.

The Spanish club are looking to sign him on loan, but this formula doesn’t look great for Spurs, especially given his contract situation.
