Sunday’s edition of L’Equipe has a lengthy article which presents Tanguy Ndombele’s current situation at Tottenham Hotspur.

First they go over his recent training session with Jose Mourinho, one which broke Covid-19 social distancing rules and saw the Spurs manager have to make an apology.

On Tuesday, Ndombele had just finished his personal training session at home, and was still recovering when Mourinho rang his intercom.

L’Equipe say the 23 year old had become ‘very unaccustomed to outings during this confinement period’ and therefore wasn’t able to hide his shock that his manager wanted to go for a run.

There was no long chat between the two men, and they were later joined by Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon.

The French newspaper suggests that it could be part of a media game to show Mourinho is trying his best to get the most out of Tottenham’s summer signing.

However, it’s made very clear that Ndombele doesn’t see himself living another season like the current one, and that’s when a potential transfer is pushed forward.

‘Several Major European clubs’ are said to have already expressed their interest.
