Calcio Mercato has today a story mainly about Inter Milan’s interest in River Plate defender Lucas Martinez Quarta, with ongoing negotiations for his transfer.

But the Nerazzurri have one more target for their defence, and that’s Tottenham Hotspur’s Juan Foyth.

It’s claimed manager José Mourinho doesn’t really want to let the 21-year-old go, but still, he could be a ‘market opportunity’ for a few Italian sides.

AC Milan and Roma are two other clubs who could join Inter Milan in the race for the Argentine international, although there are no claims of talks for now.

To be sincere, this is a pretty strange story, because by saying Mourinho wants to keep hold of the player, it sounds pretty impossible for him to become a ‘market opportunity’, like they say.

So unless Italian clubs are looking to spend big in January, they would definitely need Mourinho’s approval to have Foyth on a good deal from Tottenham.
