Monday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport has an article which states ‘Ndombele is done’, as they cover the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder’s potential move to Napoli.
According to the report, Tanguy Ndombele is ‘eager to travel’ to Italy to complete the move, and Spurs are continuing negotiations with the Serie A side as they look to reach a deal for the player.
Officials from Napoli are said to have travelled to London for talks over the signing, and it’s thought the clubs are now ‘very close to an agreement’, with a clear confidence this transfer can happen quickly.
Ndombele would move on a loan deal, as is typical these days for players switching from the Premier League to Serie A.
One final problem could be his wages, with Gazzetta saying he currently earns €8m a year after tax at Tottenham.
Napoli wouldn’t want to pay more than €4m, so what happens with the other €4m will obviously be a key issue in the remaining negotiations set to take place.
