Earlier this month, Catalan newspaper Sport published an article on Christian Eriksen and how he was one who had slipped the blaugrana net.
The Tottenham star had at several times looked prime for a transfer to Barcelona, but there was always a different route taken and now it was thought a move would be impossible.
Even the Denmark press were beginning to give up hope of a transfer that would be a dream for them. After months, and years, of pushing Eriksen to Barcelona there’s recently been an acceptance in the Danish media that the ship has probably sailed.
Sunday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo names three players who ‘dream’ of signing for Barcelona. Those are Eriksen, Angel Di Maria and David Alaba.
It’s explained the three will once against be ‘watching’ what Barcelona do in the market, and hoping there’s an opportunity for them along they way.
The general theme may have something to it, and Eriksen has said on several occasions it’d be hard to turn down Barca, but the Tottenham player will currently be watching his phone rather than market, waiting for the news he’s about to become a dad.
