Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will be missing France’s upcoming international games, as revealed by the national team.

On Twitter, there’s official confirmation saying the 35-year-old is out with a right thigh injury, and will be replaced by Nantes’ Alban Lafont.

The Tottenham player is therefore ruled out of France’s Nations League matches against Austria and Denmark. For now, there’s no information on how serious the injury is.

Lloris had played normally in Tottenham’s match against Leicester City at the weekend and didn’t seem to leave the pitch with an injury. So there’s the possibility he’s being left out for precaution.

The Spurs’ captain is in pretty good form this season, with three clean sheets in his nine appearances, and has been crucial in the club’s unbeaten form in the Premier League, which currently puts them in 3rd place in the table.

Now as Tottenham and Antonio Conte certainly expect that this is just a minor physical issue, the club have a couple of weeks off to prepare for the North London derby against Arsenal on the 1st of October.
