Dele Alli was being linked with PSG even before Mauricio Pochettino took over at the Ligue 1 club. After the manager’s arrival it was inevitable that the Tottenham player would be the subject of more serious claims, given the pair worked so well together at Spurs.

However, a big problem for the move was Tottenham’s reluctance to let Dele Alli leave on any kind of deal, even on a loan basis. Daniel Levy was said to be behind that stance, clearly feeling the player has a lot to give in the future, regardless of what Jose Mourinho thinks of him right now.

RMC now report that Dele Alli has ‘convinced’ Levy over a move, although they make it clear that doesn’t necessarily mean that a transfer will be happening this month.

Tottenham want to get a replacement in before they allow the England international to leave them, and, once again, Christian Eriksen is presented as a possible option.

Should that get sorted then PSG and Spurs would need to agree on the loan basis and possible purchase option for the summer.

RMCV sound more confident about this potential move than they previously have, even if there’s several hurdles to jump.
