Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez is about to leave the club, according to reports from his home country.
Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra brings the ‘exclusive’ news saying the centre-back is ‘very close’ to signing for Spartak Moscow.
It’s claimed there’s already a deal between Tottenham and the Russian side, and personal terms are expected to be agreed in the ‘coming hours’.
Sierra adds that Sanchez ‘doesn’t see with bad eyes’ a potential switch to Moscow.
The defender has lately been heavily linked to a move out of Tottenham. Clubs from several countries have been said to be interested in him, with reports from France, Spain and Turkey constantly having updates on the race for the 27-year-old.
Sanchez joined Tottenham on a €42m move from Ajax back in 2017. In six years in London, he made 205 appearances for the club. Last season, though, he only had 24 games, becoming clearly an alternative option in the squad.
With his contract expiring next year, he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €15m. For now, it isn’t clear how much Spartak Moscow will be paying for the transfer.
