Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan has dragged on throughout the window, with the Serie A club and Tottenham now squabbling over a few million.

Throughout their recent reporting the Italian media have been in agreement that Daniel Levy has demanded €20m for the Denmark international. Inter were first said to have offered €8m, and then there were multiple reports they wouldn’t go over €10m.

All this time, Levy has been presented as standing firm, continuing to point to the €20m figure.

FCInterNews believe there could now be quick developments. They report Frank Trimboli, who is described as an intermediary working between the two clubs on this deal, is in Milan waiting for Levy to give his verdict on the latest offer.

That stands at €15m plus a further €3m in bonus payments.

Should Levy respond favourably then FCInterNews say Eriksen could fly to Milan ‘in the next few hours’ to start a new chapter in his career.

It sounds like there’s confidence for the deal, with similar being reported this evening around the Italian media, but there’s every chance the Tottenham chief will again say no, and point to the €20m asking price again.
