Arriving from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer for a fee of just under £11m, Lovro Majer has quickly become a fan favourite at Stade Rennais.

Scoring a goal and picking up two assists in his first eight games, the midfielder is one of the reasons for the club’s good form of late, and other clubs have taken notice.

According to Homme Du Match, Tottenham are ‘the most interested’ and have ‘placed the player right at the top of their list of priorities for next season’.

While they make it clear that an exit in January ‘is to be excluded’, one next summer isn’t, with Spurs, among other clubs, ‘ready to pay a high price’ for the 23-year-old.

If anything, Tottenham are in the best position since they get to see him close up in the next few weeks, as they face Stade Rennais in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

While the two sides have already met, with the game ending 2-2, Majer was out of action for that fixture with a hip injury.

Other interested teams are reportedly Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
