Davide Frattesi was on Tottenham Hotspur’s agenda in the last transfer window, but they didn’t make an approach for the Sassuolo player in the end.
On September 22nd, Gazzetta dello Sport stated that Spurs chief Fabio Paratici has certainly not let go of the midfielder.
He netted his third goal of this campaign in Sassuolo’s 2-1 defeat against Inter Milan at the weekend. After the tie, Frattesi expressed his disappointment over a failed move to AS Roma in the summer.
“Honestly, I had a lousy retreat. I dreamed of returning to Roma and the transfer did not materialise, I was disappointed. Then I rolled up my sleeves. To go to a top club, you have to give your best here, where I’m happy to have stayed,” he told DAZN.
When discussing his suitors, Tottenham get a mention. It’s said Spurs manager Antonio Conte likes the Italy international, while Inter are in the background.
After the disappointment in the summer, the ‘market is rekindled’ for Frattesi, where Tottenham are in the picture to sign him because both Paratici and Conte like him.
