Tottenham Hotspur are among clubs keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié.
The Bundesliga side took the defender from Argentine club Talleres de Córdoba last summer.
In his debut season in Europe, the 20-year-old starred for Bayer and his fine displays have caught the attention of several clubs, including Tottenham.
According to Calciomercato.it, Spurs and AS Roma are ‘on the trail’ of the centre-back. In addition to these two clubs, there is AC Milan, who are in search of a new central-back, after losing out on Sven Botman to Newcastle United.
Hincapié’s current deal runs down in 2026 and his price has been ‘raised’ after an excellent first season in Germany.
Bayer, who ‘do not rule out’ his sale, are looking to adjust his salary by offering him a new deal. That’s the reason why they have contacted the player’s representatives.
In the event there were to agree a sale, Tottenham, Roma or Milan would have to invest at least €25m to sign Hincapié. Spurs are keen, but there’s no further information provided in Calciomerctao.it’s report about Antonio Conte’s side.
