Three days ago, we covered claims made in Italy that suggested Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs in the mix to sign Nikola Milenković this summer.

It was also explained Fiorentina have asked the 24-year-old to give a definitive answer over his future before August 4th.

This is relayed by La Nazione, who add there will be more clarity regarding the defender’s future in the next 48 hours or so.

Talks between all the parties involved [player, manager and club] will be simple, and Milenković’s solution, whether to stay or leave, will satisfy everyone. If he were to leave, Ajax’s Perr Schuurs has been identified as one of the candidates to replace him.

Tottenham are tagged again and it’s said Antonio Conte’s side are ‘one of the contenders’ for the Serbia international.

Fiorentina, meanwhile, are interested in Spurs’ Giovani Lo Celso. The possibility to launch an operation to sign the Argentine is considered complicated, but there’s one detail that could change their plans; Milenković.

The question is, if the north London club were to launch a definitive assault for the centre-back in the next few days, does it open the door for Fiorentina to make an approach for Lo Celso.

For now, Tottenham are one of the Serbian’s contenders, but have not made any attempt to sign him so far.
