Tottenham’s interest in AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piątek appears to have subsided, with them now only described as a ‘second-row’ option for the Polish striker.
Spurs need a striker this month after losing Harry Kane until April at the earliest with a hamstring injury.
They had been heavily linked with Piątek in recent weeks, with the striker out of favour at AC Milan this season.
With ten days of the window left, time is running out for the Polish forward to get his move, but according to Tuttosport, Tottenham may no longer be an option.
The newspaper reports that Piątek will have to make a decision this week as the club cannot risk being left without a viable replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimović.
They name Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Tottenham as suitors, although the latter have moved back into the ‘second-row’ as an option for him.
That suggests their interest is not as strong as it once was, and with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace both having signed the strikers they need this month, perhaps Piątek won’t be moving to England after all.
