Tottenham are ‘in no hurry’ to sell Harry Kane this summer, with Daniel Levy happy to wait until August before sanctioning anything.
That’s according to Cadena SER, who say his stance is already frustrating Real Madrid’s potential efforts to get the Tottenham captain.
They explain that the Spanish club will step up their efforts to sign a replacement for Karim Benzema and Kane is ‘one of the main candidates’ to fill the position.
They’ve already been in contact with his brother and agent Charlie, making their interest in him known via these conversations.
They would be willing to offer striker a three-year deal worth €15m per season, €4m more than he currently receives per season at Tottenham.
While negotiating with the player is an easy process, it is not the case when it comes to Daniel Levy, with whom they expect negotiations to be ‘tough’.
The Spanish giants don’t want to pay more than €80m and could include a player like Ferland Mendy in an attempt to talk Spurs into a deal.
Tottenham, though, are in no hurry because they know that time is on their side.
They would not mind if the operation was carried out in August, while Madrid want to close the operation before the second week of July so that Kane can go on tour with them.
