Valencia are hoping to conclude a deal for Bryan Gil ‘in the next few hours’ but need Tottenham to sign a replacement first.
That’s according to Levante EMV, who say the player will be returning to Spain on loan until the end of the season.
Like last year’s loan to the same club the deal will not include a purchase option at the end of the deal.
Valencia have already struck an agreement with Tottenham and the player for the move to happen and hope Gil can become their fifth signing of the summer ‘in the next few hours’.
However, that is entirely dependent on Tottenham’s ability to ‘find a substitute’; something Antonio Conte has asked for to sanction the move.
Either way, the agreement is in place and Gil has ‘put in a lot of effort’ to make sure it could happen.
He also had an interesting offer from Real Sociedad but chose Valencia instead and prioritised a move to the Mestalla over others after his very successful loan spell there last season.
His return is now all but finalised, with the agreements in place and Tottenham’s hunt for a replacement underway.
