In the worst kept secret of the year, Harry Kane wants to leave Tottenham, which has forced the club to look at replacements should he be sold.
Among the many names thrown around, few have been as consistent as Dusan Vlahovic, for whom Spurs have already had a chat via his agent.
No offer has been made just yet, mostly because Kane is still a Tottenham player, but if the London side are indeed set on trying to sign the Serbian at some point, they might have to act very quickly.
That’s because Atlético Madrid, their biggest competition in this race, are preparing a bid for the striker, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Italian journalist took to his website to explain these are ‘decisive days’ for the player’s future, as the La Liga side’s interest is ‘more and more serious’, and are ‘ready to present a first official offer’ to Fiorentina.
That is expected to be around €50m, which they hope will be enough to ‘get the OK’ from the Serie A side.
Considering the line fed to the Italian media has been at least €60m before negotiations will be considered, Atlético appear to be lowballing to start with, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Either way, Tottenham might have to act quickly in the next few days or they risk missing out on a player who most see as ideal to replace Kane either this year or in the future.
The bottom line is, as per Di Marzio: ‘His future will be decided in the coming days’
