The Italian media continue to link Tottenham Hotspur and Weston McKennie, with it now being reported Spurs could look to move in the winter market rather than waiting until the summer.
The 24-year-old has played just over 1000 minutes for Juventus so far this season, getting appearances whenever he’s available but not often playing the full 90 minutes in Serie A.
His contract expires in June 2025 and rather than talk of a renewal he’s seen as one of the players Juventus can make some money from, needing outgoings in order to fund incomings.
In his editorial for TMW, Niccolò Ceccarini reports that Tottenham could move as quickly as January and formulate an offer for Juventus. McKennie is said to have long been of interest to Spurs, and it’s Fabio Paratici, who took the player to the Turin club, who would be the man behind a deal.
Much will depend on what type of deal Juventus would be looking for, and they’ll hope the USA international excels at the World Cup and cements his value.
