It’s not been a good day for Tottenham’s Moussa Dembélé.
The Belgium midfielder, currently on international duty with his country at this year’s Euros, has so far made one appearance during the international tournament, coming off against Ireland in the 57th minute.
Suffering from a slight ankle injury, the Tottenham midfielder was trying to do everything in his power to be fit and ready for the first knockout round tie against plucky Hungary.
According to DH, Dembélé, coming out for Friday’s training session 20 minutes later than the rest of the group after doing extra preparation to ensure his ankle would hold up, was forced to sit down and bring the day to an end.
Clearly suffering, the player is now a major doubt for Monday’s game, but with the likes of Radja Nainggolan, Axel Witsel and Marouane Fellaini all ready to replace him, Belgium should be OK.
The big question now is: will this injury affect his preseason with Tottenham?
