The Brazilian press continue to have interesting updates on Malcom’s move out of Bordeaux, and today Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham are brought back into the pcitrue.

After claims from Goal that Arsenal would be close to finding a deal for the forward, it’s now website UOL who confirms the Gunners are indeed leading the race.

The outlet claims Malcom has an agreement with Bordeaux to be negotiated before the summer transfer window, and things seem to be getting hot already in January.

Just like Goal and Gianluca Di Marzio, UOL confirms that Arsenal have a meeting with the player’s staff this week, which should have happened today.

Despite having a €35m bid rejected, Tottenham Hotspur did not give up on the race and will still meet his representatives next week. But according to UOL, it’s really Arsenal who are the favourites to sign him.

Manchester United, just like Bayern Munich, also had talks for the player, but the website claims that they didn’t excite the representatives much. That sounds a little odd, especially given the wage differences between Tottenham and Manchester United.

Malcom has no release clause at Bordeaux, and the French club expect him to be sold for around €50m.
