Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin has put his future on hold for the time being, despite reports linking him with Inter Milan and Napoli once again.

That’s according to his agent Florin Manea, via Napoli Magazine, who has insisted that there is nothing happening with the Tottenham defender for now.

Manea has regularly comments on his client’s future and stirred the transfer pot since his arrival at Tottenham in the January transfer window last year.

It’s been something of a frustrated period for the Romanian defender since then, with him failing to oust Christian Romero and Micky van de Ven as Tottenham’s preferred central duo when both have been fit to play together.

That’s seen him linked with a move away and Napoli were known to be interested in the January transfer market. That move never happened, particularly after the 23-year-old sufferance a cruciate ligament tear.

That’s expected to keep him out until the end of the year, but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from firing up and linking him with both Inter Milan and Napoli this summer.

His agent insists he doesn’t see a Tottenham transfer happening but is happy to comment on both Italian clubs anyway.

“Radu is on holiday, but I always see him in the gym, in fact I make fun of him!” he is quoted as saying to Stile TV.

“He’ll be back playing in August. I think he’ll stay at Tottenham, there were a few requests before the injury, but the club didn’t sell him, he didn’t want to change teams, so everything has remained the same.

“Then there are a lot of rumours, especially with Chivu’s arrival at Inter, because we are very good friends with Chivu, but they’re just speculations. Our minds are focused on recovery: the boy wants to get back to playing as soon as possible and be stronger than before.

“Conte is one of the best coaches in the world, then I like Napoli, but from here to saying that he’ll play for Napoli there’s a long way to go. Then, Tottenham don’t want to let him go and he has no intention of leaving so at the moment everything is on hold, then in the future we don’t know what can happen.

“We have a great affection for Manna because the Napoli director of football has seen Dragusin grow. I spoke to De Laurentiis before going to Tottenham, but the deal was already almost done. But then I didn’t hear from him again. If Tottenham want to loan him out then he could come to Italy, but I’m sure that next year he will stay here and play more.”
