Just in case you’d missed out on the last week’s Tottenham managerial news, Antonio Conte is the favourite to replace José Mourinho at the north London club.

There’s been a lot of articles published about the current negotiations taking place between Spurs and the former Inter manager, but apart from some social media posts, the Italian has remained quiet.

Until now.

Conte sat down for an interview with DAZN very recently, relayed by Calciomercato, where he discussed various topics ranging from his time at Inter to what he plans to do in the future.

Explaining he is ‘a person who is not satisfied with comfortable situations’, he felt he had chosen ‘the most difficult situation’ by going to Inter, where he had three years to take them back to the top.

He did just that in two years, winning the Serie A title this year before stepping down, somewhat surprisingly, and causing a frenzy amid clubs who need a new manager.

Tottenham are among those, with Ryan Mason never seen as the long-term solution after Mourinho, and Conte was asked about where he saw himself in the next five years.

His answer was short but sweet: “I would like to have experiences abroad. I would like to go to America”.

That could be good news for Tottenham, who could have him for the next four, then allowing him to move onto his dream of going on the other side of the Atlantic.
