Tottenham Hotspur have turned to Serie A to improve their squad in the last two windows, mainly because of Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte.

Spurs continue to look at the Italian market, this time for AS Roma’s Nicola Zalewski.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who state the Tottenham manager has had his sights on the 20-year-old for ‘some time’.

Apart from the north London club, the Poland international also pleases Paris Saint-Germain, who had gathered information about him in the summer window.

Having made his debut in May 2021, the player has been part of the first team after José Mourinho was appointed as the Giallorossi’s manager last year.

The former Manchester United boss is not ready to part ways with the left wing-back, who can also be used as a right wing-back. The Serie A side are with Mourinho on this case.

Zalewski’s contract runs until 2025 and Roma’s desire is to hand him a new deal until 2027.

With regards to Zalewski, Roma have realised they have ‘something precious on their hands’. Therefore, Mourinho’s side are working to tie the Pole down to a new contract in order to ‘discourage Tottenham’.
