Philippe Coutinho was linked with a move to Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur before the start of the season.

Reports coming out of Spain then talked about the Red Devils and the north London club chasing the Barcelona player. It was also stated former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino failed to convince the 27-year-old to join the north London club.

The former Liverpool star decided not to return to England and joined Bayern Munich on a season-long loan deal.

Bayern have an option to make his transfer permanent next summer and should they decide not to exercise it, the South American will then open the door to return to the Premier League, according to Mundo Deportivo.

It’s once again explained that Manchester United and Tottenham have ‘already showed interest’ in the player and they could still consider signing him after this campaign.

Coutinho has so far managed seven goals and seven assists in all competitions for the Bundesliga winners.

If he finishes the season well, Barca expect his asking price to not fall below €100m.

Barcelona are keen on selling Coutinho and their idea is to use the money raised from his sale to then go after Neymar.
