Antonio Conte has not included some Tottenham Hotspur players for Spurs’ trip to South Korea. The ones that were left out were Sergio Reguilón, Giovani Lo Celso, Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombélé.
According to Marca, the left-back and Lo Celso didn’t travel to Asia ‘due to a possible transfer’.
The Spain international is managed by Kia Joorabchian and has ‘put himself in the hands’ of the agent, to find a new club in the coming weeks. Marca don’t mention the clubs that are looking to take Reguilón.
With regards to Lo Celso, he’s been out of Conte’s plans at Tottenham for a long time. That saw him spend the second half of last season on loan at Villarreal and they now ‘intend’ to sign him, this time on a permanent transfer.
Spurs’ decision to leave the Argentine out for the trip to South Korea will see Unai Emery’s side try to take advantage to secure the attacking midfielder’s services.
A potential deal won’t be easy for the Yellow Submarine due to Tottenham’s request, as they would want to lose as little money as possible, after investing €40m on Lo Celso.
Marca state Villarreal will not be able to meet these demands and the only possible way for them to sign Lo Celso is by making an important sale this summer.
