For the past week or so, claims coming out of Italy have stated AC Milan are interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal and that they have also held talks with his agent.
The Serie A side aren’t alone as Galatasaray are also in the picture to sign the right-back in the summer window.
That’s according to Takvim, who say the Turkish club have included the Tottenham player in their target list.
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has requested a new right-back and this has seen the club’s leaders ‘press the button’ to try to sign the 25-year-old.
Over at Fotospor, they state Emerson is the ‘surprise name’ added to Galatasaray’s target list.
The South American has been limited to eight appearances this year. His deal lasts until 2026 and he ‘wants to leave’ Spurs in the next window. The report adds the defender ‘looks very favourably’ on joining Galatasaray.
It’s explained that ‘negotiations will begin soon’ and Galatasaray will offer €10m to Ange Postecoglou’s side for Emerson. This is unlikely to be accepted by Tottenham, considering Gazzetta dello Sport reported last week that they want €30m for him.
