Tottenham have made the ‘firmest offer’ to Juventus star Paulo Dybala ahead of a potential move away from the Italian giants this summer.
That’s according to Sport, who say Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici has ‘already spoken’ to Dybala about a reunion in London.
Dybala is out of contract at Juventus this summer, and it appears he will not be extending his contract at the club.
That means he will be available on a free transfer, and a host of big sides in Europe are lining up to sign the 28-year-old in a potential bargain deal.
Tottenham have been named among his suitors courtesy of Paratici, who was in charge at Juventus when Dybala arrived in a £36.9m deal from Palermo in 2015.
They’re one of several suitors and Sport report that so far, they have made the ‘firmest offer’ to the forward.
According to them, Paratici ‘knows perfectly the quality of the player’, and both he and Tottenham believe he is a ‘great market opportunity’ this summer.
They have ‘already spoken to him’ and presumably made him an offer. Indeed, the newspaper states there is one ‘on the table’.
The details of that proposal aren’t made clear, and we’ll have to take this report with a pinch of salt, given it’s on a player in Italy joining a club in England from a Spanish publication.
It is presented as part of a report on Barcelona also being interested in Dybala, though, with it stated he is ‘ready’ to join the Catalans.
Tottenham, then, might have to convince him into the move, but they do at least have Paratici on their side.
