Over the past few weeks, reports from Italy have discussed Manchester United and Newcastle United interest in Victor Osimhen. These two sides are now joined by Tottenham Hotspur in the reported chase for the Napoli star.
The striker has impressed for the Naples club, scoring 17 goals and registering six assists in all competitions this season. He averages a goal/assist once every 95 minutes for the Serie A side.
It’s no surprise the Nigeria international’s performances for the club have caught the attention of other sides, and now Tottenham Hotspur are added to that list.
Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini was a guest on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli’s Radio Goal, and his comments are relayed by Area Napoli. After naming Antonio Conte’s side, he detailed the conditions Spurs need to fulfil to take the 23-year-old away from the Italian club in the summer.
“Victor Osimhen’s situation is very clear, if great offers arrive Napoli would listen to them without thinking twice. But it will take a very high amount to snatch him from Neapolitan society, it will not be easy,” Ceccarini said.
“There are clubs from England like Newcastle and Tottenham that could go on the assault in the summer.”
Tottenham Hotspur have Harry Kane leading their attack. There’s a possibility the pair could play together, so despite claims otherwise, the purchase wouldn’t be solely dependent on a Kane exit.
