Tottenham have ‘assessed’ Real Betis striker Loren Morón ahead of a potential move for him this summer.
It is widely expected Spurs will be on the hunt for a striker in the coming transfer window, having long struggled without an adequate back up for Harry Kane.
The issue has been felt particularly hard this season with Kane and then Heung-min Son both being ruled out with long-term injuries.
Several names have been linked in the last few months, Morón one of them, with a report in March indicating he ‘has been tempted’ by the opportunity of a move to Spurs.
Estadio Deportivo back that up today, saying Tottenham have ‘assessed’ the striker, who has 11 goals and three assists in 29 games in all competitions this season.
Spurs are not the only ones to have taken a look, with them claiming his ‘main suitor’ is Napoli, with local press in the region stating they are ready to start the bidding between €25-30m.
That, though, is unlikely to be enough, with the same media stating that Betis want €60m for their striker.
That tallies with earlier reports that Tottenham would have to make a ‘very juicy’ offer to sign the striker if they wanted him this summer.
Whether that is the case remains to be seen, but what is apparent is that Loren is certainly on Tottenham’s list of potential recruits.
