Dutch striker Vincent Janssen signed for  AZ at the start of the season, since then he has scored 32 goals for the Eredivisie side, and has also made his debut for the Netherlands national team.

A couple of months ago, Janssen was linked to Manchester United and Everton, after Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf revealed both clubs sent scouts to watch him in the game between AZ Alkmaar and PSV.

However, it now appears Tottenham are in pole position to sign the 21-year-old. According to De Telegraaf, Janssen was in London on Tuesday to conduct talks with Tottenham. Apparently, Janssen was told about the future plans of the club, and it’d be interesting to see if the North London club can convince him to join them.

The young striker is valued at €15m, and that seems to be a fair price for a player, who has scored goals regularly in the last couple of years.

Interest from Manchester United has appeared to cool down, especially after the sacking of Louis van Gaal, whilst Tottenham clearly have the advantage over Everton.
