On July 31st we covered claims from Italy that Tottenham are keen on Roberto Gagliardini.
A 24 year old midfielder owned by Inter Milan, Gagliardini was also said to be interesting Atletico Madrid. Tuttuomercatoweb reported those two were the ‘two options prevailing’.
Valencia interest was taken more lightly, with it being stated the Spanish side would be interested if they sell Geoffrey Kondogbia. The French midfielder has been linked to Tottenham himself, but his agent made it clear this week that they envisage a Valencia stay.
Friday’s copy of Libero links all three clubs again, with no caveats for Valencia this time. They all ‘like’ the footballer, but there’s no explanation of where things can go from here.
Inter Milan are said to have several midfielders available, including Gagliardini, Joao Mario and Borja Valero, and they need to start building deals quickly.
Jorge Mendes has been involved with some Inter business this summer, and that may explain why Atletico Madrid and Valencia, both having good connections to the agent, are mentioned in the claims.
