As the battle for the signing of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic remains a big topic in the Italian media, outlet Noi Biancocelesti today has interesting things to say about this chase.
The outlet today points out that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs who are strongly competing to land the 27-year-old the summer.
It’s said Spurs manager Antonio Conte ‘dotes’ on him and ‘knows him very well’ after facing the midfielder in ‘various circumstances’ while in charge of Inter Milan, so the London side ‘would like’ to bring him to the Premier League this summer.
Tottenham, however, must be prepared for the huge competition for the signing, which includes the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Juventus.
Noi Biancocelesti says ‘a real auction has been launched’, with Lazio now receiving the first offers for the player.
Club president Claudio Lotito wants to listen to all the ‘bells’ for the midfielder this summer.
It’s said an offer, which allegedly arrived from Manchester United, was of £68m, and would be enough to convince the Italian side.
So for Tottenham to land Milinkovic-Savic, it sounds like they’d need to put as much or even more on the table.
