There’s more wishful thinking from the Portuguese press on Sunday, at least it seems that way. Once again, Sporting midfielder Adrien Silva is described as a player nearing the Sporting exit, and once again Tottenham and Leicester City are in the thick of it.
Whilst Leicester City were interested last summer, coming very close to signing the player, with Adrien speaking publicly about a move to the Foxes, there’s been no concrete reports that they’ve returned yet during the current transfer window.
Tottenham do have historical links, although not as strong as leicester’s, and they’ve been repeatedly linked recently.
However, those recent links look like they may have been ‘inspired’ by an opinion piece from England, and therefore Tottenham interest may be more a hope of the Portuguese side than desire from Mauricio Pochettino.
