With Tottenham seemingly finding their feet under Antonio Conte and starting to show what they could be if the Italian continues his stint in charge, there might be some more recruiting in the summer.

In fact, one of the areas that needs a bit of work, regardless of whether Harry Kane stays or goes, is the attack, where Memphis Depay is allegedly a target.

This comes from Mundo Deportivo, who explain that Barcelona are ‘aware of the interest of several English clubs, with Tottenham in the lead’.

However, they aren’t panicking and want to ‘work on his future calmly’, as they still have time to sort out his situation, since he is contracted to the La Liga side until 2023.

Tottenham are said to be ‘topping the list’ of Premier League sides looking at the Dutchman, who knows the league from a stint at Manchester United in the past.

While ‘newspaper sources specified that Barcelona would have received an offer from Spurs, without revealing more details’, the club itself ‘neither confirm nor deny’ this, but they do ‘admit that they are one of the most interested clubs, the first on the list’.

Signing a two year deal after a free transfer from Lyon last summer, the 28-year-old’s departure this summer could ‘leave a significant sum in the coffers’, but the player himself is said to be ‘happy’ where he is and would preferably ‘not like to change scene’.

That being said, he will ‘study his situation’, seemingly if he’s told that he doesn’t fall into Xavi’s plans going forward.

As to how much Tottenham would be prepared to give Barcelona should they make a move, that isn’t said.
