Sevilla are ‘ready to resume’ their ‘successful relationship’ with Sergio Reguilón this summer after he was put up for sale by Tottenham.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who have the full-back splashed across their front-page today.
The Sevilla-based newspaper reports that the Tottenham man has ‘give his yes’ to Monchi to return to Nervión in this transfer window.
He is now waiting for them to finalise the deal taking Jules Koundé to Chelsea. That will provide Sevilla with much-needed transfer funds, at which point they can make their move for Reguilón.
The initial deal with Tottenham will be for a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, but it seems Sevilla want their big departure to be sorted first.
Reguilón will be warmly welcomed by Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui, who it is said will be ‘delighted’ to have him in his squad.
The newspaper also reports how there has been a hint from Reguilón’s partner Marta Díaz, who recently posted on Instagram about packing her suitcases alongside an emoji of a plane, hinting that they are on the move this summer.
Whether that’s to Sevilla remains to be seen, but he has reportedly given his okay to the move and is waiting for an agreement to be struck with Tottenham.
