A slight exaggeration and fortunate translation here and there and the thing kept going and going.

Spanish newspaper Marca had a look back over the weekend at English clubs who tried to buy Real Madrid players over the summer, and it’s natural that the Isco claims come up. However, Marca play the thing down.

Italian champions Juventus are said to have been the most interested club in Isco, ready to pounce. Tottenham were meanwhile, waiting in the background, but preparing a plan of action should they need one.

It’s stated that if Isco has said yes then bids would have been formulated and submitted to Real Madrid for consideration. But Isco said no, with Marca explaining he’s determined to stick it out at Real Madrid.
