AS Monaco are currently looking to bring in reinforcements and a potential successor for Kylian Mbappe, who it’s thought is set to leave the French champions for PSG.
There are several options on the table, but Tottenham interest in one is already causing a worry. Reports came from Italy on Wednesday of an impending Tottenham offer for Keita Baldé Diao.
It was reported a Tottenham offer of €30m was expected to arrive, via fax, for the Lazio player. The Italian club would probably like to accept such a bid and wave Keita off to Tottenham, because he’s already refused several other offers.
L’Equipe report on Thursday that Monaco will have issues with Keita because Tottenham ‘has just offered’ €30m. It’s unclear whether they’re taking the Italian claims and running with them a little, because the French newspaper doesn’t say if that’s their own information or from elsewhere.
Either way, the Tottenham approach is believed and being taken seriously in France.
