Calciomercato have an article on the matter on Wednesday, where they call José Mourinho’s side ‘the most disappointing team among the so-called big ones’ in the league, and they are beginning to ‘question themselves’.
While questions aren’t being asked (yet) about the manager, they are about players, with many ‘already on the market’, where Jordan Veretout can be found following some Tottenham interest.
The Spurs story emerged during the January transfer window, but was quickly dismissed by the player’s agent, at least for then, but this summer could be a complete different story.
That’s where Tottenham are mentioned, with it said they had ‘taken an interest’, but ‘there are also other clubs between the Premier League and Ligue 1 that could come forward’.
As things stand, the player’s value as ‘about €25m’, making him very affordable for the English sides who could be interested.
Whether Spurs are among those remains to be seen, but with the player reportedly a fan of Conte, there’s an easy deal to made there if Tottenham come knocking with the right amount of money.
