Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in signing AS Roma attacker Cengiz Under, claims Turkish newspaper Gunes.
It’s explained the Portuguese coach will be looking to strengthen his squad in the summer and is targeting the 22 year old.
However, Gunes report any move for Under will depend on Tottenham’s qualification for next season’s Champions League as they look to gain ground on 4th placed Chelsea.
The former Altinordu academy graduate has been linked with a transfer to the Premier League since his move to the Serie A club and he could leave during the next window.
Under was struggling to get regular game time earlier in the season due to injuries and the form of Nicolo Zaniolo, but now he’s figuring more under Paulo Fonseca given the long term absence of his 20 year old teammate.
The Turkish international has made 17 appearances for Roma in all competitions this season, scoring two goals. His contract at the Stadio Olimpico will expire at the end of June 2023.
