Tottenham Hotspur are ‘very interested’ in AS Monaco defender Guillermo Maripan.
That’s according to Todo Fichajes who claim to have exclusive information saying José Mourinho would like to sign the 26-year-old this summer.
The Portuguese boss is said to be working alongside the board to find reinforcements for the squad, and he considers it crucial for the club to sign a central defender in the next transfer window.
Good news for Tottenham is that, according to Todo Fichajes, Monaco are open to selling Maripán.
Even though the French side spent €18m to get the player from Alavés last summer, it’s said they could now accept to negotiate his sale for a fee around €20m.
Maripan had a quick adaptation to Ligue 1 and became an important piece in Monaco’s defence, having started most of their matches this season.
That makes us wonder if the club would really accept to let him go so soon with practically no profit at all.
