Tottenham Hotspur continue to follow Fiorentina youngster Riccardo Sottil, according to claims from Italy.
Calcio Mercato reports Spurs have sent a scout to watch the 20-year-old playing for La Viola, and this isn’t the first time they’ve done so.
It’s said the London side have been following him since the U21 levels, and are now keeping an eye on him with the first team as well.
The website highlights the fact that Sottil has just signed a new deal with Fiorentina, committing him to the club until 2024, but that doesn’t seem to keep the Premier League side away from the player.
It’s been a while since Sottil has been having chances for Fiorentina’s first team, but after returning from a loan spell at Pescara last season, he’s been having more chances for La Viola.
Sottil primarily plays as a left winger, but can also operate on the right or through the middle.
He has 15 appearances in 2019/20, and is still to score his first goal for the club.
