With Tottenham Hotspur reportedly looking for a central defender in the Italian market, we’ve seen Spurs being heavily linked to two players: Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni and Torino’s Gleison Bremer.
Reports in the past 24 hours have been claiming that Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici have been working on both fronts, as the two players are expected to get offers in this transfer window.
It turns out Bremer isn’t only a target for Tottenham, but also for Italian clubs, including Inter Milan and AC Milan.
So as Calcio Mercato today share an update on the Brazilian, they point out that Spurs interest in him is now resulting in his price rising.
It’s said Tottenham have ‘set their eyes’ on the Torino player, and now the amount of €30-35m ‘may not be enough’ to sign him. That’s bad news for the likes of Inter Milan and AC Milan.
Calcio Mercato claim that Urbano Cairo, president of the Turin side, expected to trigger ‘a real auction’ for Bremer, and is now ‘succeeding in the goal’.
Tottenham interest has a lot to do with it.
Bastoni’s agent saying earlier today that the player is staying at Inter, makes Bremer to Spurs a likelier prospect for two reasons. Firstly, it would seem to take the Italian off the market, and secondly, Inter wouldn’t need a replacement for him.
