It’s been a while since we’ve had an update on Malcom and his Bordeaux situation, mostly because the latest rumours have been sending him to Italy, with Inter Milan said to be very keen.

Guaranteed an exit this summer after seeing a move to the Premier League blocked by the Ligue 1 board, the Brazilian forward, who missed out on going to the World Cup in Russia, is patiently biding his time, knowing his move will eventually come.

For that to happen, however, clubs need to come forward with offers, which Tottenham could very well do in the near future.

This is what Mercato365 were claiming on Thursday, stating that Spurs’ interest in the Bordeaux star still exists, but that it would take one or two sales down their end before a move was made.

Having purchased Lucas Moura in January, signing a new right winger isn’t exactly a priority for Mauricio Pochettino right now, meaning the transfer budget is likely to get spent somewhere else.

However, should the right offer come for (and this is just us speculating) Erik Lamela, a left-footed player normally used down the right hand side, perhaps Tottenham might reconsider their stance on the matter.

Either way, it doesn’t sound like Malcom is as much of a priority for Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino these days.
