Tottenham are ‘intensively considering’ departing Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic, although they could face competition from Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.
That’s according to BILD, who say the coach could end up back in the Premier League once he leaves Dortmund this summer.
The newspaper reports that, according to their information, Tottenham are looking at Terzic as a potential replacement for Jose Mourinho, who was sacked last month.
They believe that Terzic could be an ideal replacement as he is ‘young, eloquent, emotional, speaks fluent and knows the Premier League’ after a spell as a coach at West Ham.
Those qualities mean they are ‘intensively considering’ hiring him as Mourinho’s replacement, with it unlikely interim boss Ryan Mason will be given the job.
They are not the only Premier League club interested, though, with Crystal Palace and Newcastle United also keen on the cup winner.
BILD explain that the success of Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel has been ‘stirring up’ the Premier League and led to German coaches being in high demand.
Tottenham want a piece of that action and, after seemingly missing out on Julian Nagelsmann, could now look at Terzic. They have also been linked to Hansi Flick.
What Terzic will do is not yet known. He wants to finish the season at Dortmund, ‘let it sink in’ and then make a decision.
At the minute, it is between a move to England or staying at Dortmund, with Terzic ruling out Eintracht Frankfurt. There is every chance it could be the latter, and he returns to working lower down the club after Marco Rose’s arrival.
