Franck Kessié continues to be linked with other clubs as he is out of contract at AC Milan at the end of the season.
Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with an interest in the midfielder and for the past few weeks, reports coming out of Spain have also named Barcelona as a potential suitor.
Last Friday, Sport explained the north London club have made a ‘very powerful offer’ to the 25-year-old to join them as a free agent.
AC Milan sealed a 1-0 win over Sampdoria on Sunday and the Ivory Coast international came off the bench just after the hour mark. During the tie, the Curva Sud had a banner with a message to Milan players, stating that “best regards to those who are dissatisfied”.
MilanNews.it journalist Pietro Mazzara says the message was aimed specifically at Kessié, who has handled the contract situation ‘very badly’. He states Tottenham and Barcelona are on the player’s trail.
Regarding the Premier League side, Mazzara says Antonio Conte and Spurs chief Fabio Paratici are his admirers. Stefano Pioli’s side have identified Lille’s Renato Sanches as his potential successor.
With Tottenham and Barca hovering to sign Kessié, the journalist says the Milan fans are ‘tolerating’ him and nothing more. Mazzara also warns that if he were to make ‘decisive mistakes’, then ‘there will be no mercy’.
