Tottenham Hotspur have placed a bid for Udinese’s fullback Destiny Udogie, who can play left midfield or left-back, according to reports from Italy.
Sky Italia (via Tutto Mercato Web) claims Spurs are ‘pressing’ for the signing, having put an offer worth €25m, including bonuses, on the table.
Tottenham are said to be interested in guaranteeing Udogie as a prospect for the future. As a proof of that, Antonio Conte is willing to let him stay at Udinese for a year on loan, while he gets more experience in Serie A.
Covering the report, FC Inter News points out that Udinese ‘could be satisfied’ with this €25m, so it seems there’s a good chance for Spurs to get the signing done, especially with the London side letting him stay on loan.
Udogie comes from Hellas Verona’s youth ranks. Last year, he joined the Udine side on a loan move, which became permanent this summer.
He had a promising first season at the club, with five goals and three assists in 37 appearances,. He’s played in all the youth ranks for the Italian national side.
