Over the past few days, Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Genoa defender Koni de Winter.
There was an indication that Ange Postecoglou’s side are leading the race for the versatile centre-back, who can also play at right-back.
Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund were also mentioned as potential suitors for the Belgian.
Tuttomercatoweb have reported about the future of the Tottenham target, revealing that Genoa will not oppose the sale of De Winter in the summer transfer window.
That is because they want to earn a total of €50m from the sales of two players, as they look to bolster their squad via about seven new signings.
De Winter is a prime candidate to leave and so is Morten Frendrup.
For the defender, the Rossoblu would want a fee of €30m from the likes of Tottenham or Inter. The report also teases the fact that ‘several enquiries’ have arrived from the Premier League already.
Links with the 22-year-old certainly make sense for Spurs, largely because of how Cristian Romero seems to be attracting interest from other major clubs.
